The Southern Tea Room warmly invites you to experience the perfect blend of Southern hospitality and classic English Afternoon Tea. Our cozy, nostalgic space is adorned with charming mismatched China, delicate tea handkerchiefs, and vintage teacups that bring a touch of whimsy to your table. Each guest receives a beautiful glass teapot with a tea light warmer, ensuring your chosen tea remains at the perfect temperature throughout the experience.

Our 75-minute, three-tier tea service is $50 per person, and offers a delightful progression of flavors. Begin with the Pastry Tier, filled with freshly baked Southern-inspired treats. The Savory Tier follows, featuring a variety of flavorful bites that highlight the richness of Southern cuisine. Finally, indulge in the Sweet Tier, a collection of handcrafted desserts that provide the perfect ending to your tea experience.

1. How do I book a reservation for a large group?
For parties of 7 or more, please call us directly at 615-497-2402 to arrange your reservation.
2. Can I book a private room?
Yes! To reserve the private room, you must book all 28 seats. Private room reservations are for 75-minute time slots, available at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, or 3:00 PM.
3. What if I need more than 75 minutes for tea service?
If you require more than the standard 75-minute tea service, the 3:00 PM time slot is the only option available. An additional room charge of $250 per hour will apply for extended time beyond the 75-minute window.
4. Do you offer gluten-friendly options?
Yes, we offer gluten-friendly options. These must be noted at the time of reservation to ensure proper preparation.
5. How much does tea service cost?
The tea service is $50 per person, plus tax and tip. We also offer a scaled down children's menu for ages 11 under is $30 per person.
6. Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
We are not a nut-free facility and cannot accommodate dairy-free or vegan dietary needs.
7. What is your cancellation and late arrival policy?
Reservations canceled within 48 hours or no-shows will incur a $25 per person fee. Guests arriving 15 minutes or more late will also incur this fee unless we are able to accommodate you in another area outside of the tea room. Please note that if we can accommodate you elsewhere, your reservation time will still end 75 minutes from the original reservation time.
8. How long is the tea service?
Tea service is a 75-minute experience, ensuring everyone has ample time to enjoy.
9. When should I arrive for my reservation?
We recommend arriving 15 minutes early to ensure timely seating. This helps us provide the best experience for you and the next guests.
10. Are outside decorations or food allowed?
No, outside food is permitted, but we can accommodate small decorations or favors in The Southern Tea Room. The tables are specifically arranged for tea service, our flower bouquets, and there is no additional space to accommodate decorations.
11. Can we add other party experiences, like an Ice Cream Party?
Other party add-ons, such as an Ice Cream Party, may be accommodated in the general seating area of the Food Hall but are not permitted in the tea room. To discuss and arrange add-ons, please contact us directly at 615-497-2402.
12. How do I get to The Southern Tea Room?
We are located inside Fork of the South, in Building 8, behind the main Factory building, adjacent to the smoke stack.

  • Best Access Routes:

  • Turn onto Market Place Drive, the side street between The Factory and DT McCalls off of Franklin Road.

  • Alternatively, enter near the train tracks off of Liberty Pike, park near the shed, and walk up the alley to Fork of the South.

13. Is there a shuttle service on Saturdays?
Yes! On Saturdays, a shuttle runs from Liberty Elementary School to The Factory from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (times may vary). The cost is $1 per person per way, and it’s the most convenient way to get to The Factory.
